Sunrise Children’s Home is a Charitable Children’s Institution located in Baringo Central Sub-County, Baringo County. We have been operating without a formal donor or sponsor since its inception, relying instead on well-wishers, friends, churches, schools, our Board of Directors, the Sang family, and the wider community. The prevailing economic conditions in the county and the country at large have made it increasingly difficult for us to meet the basic needs of the children under our care.
Since inception, the Home has supported more than five hundred (500) needy children. We currently care for ninety-one (91) children across pre-school, primary, junior secondary, secondary, college, and university levels, and this number continues to grow. Several of the children we support are also survivors of GBV with active cases before the courts, and safeguarding their wellbeing remains an urgent priority.
In light of these needs, the Organizing Committee, Board of Directors, Management, and staff of Sunrise Children’s Home cordially invite you to grace and support our upcoming Fundraising Drive (Harambee), details of which are below:

The funds raised will address the following priority needs for the 2026/2027 period:
- Strategic Mobility & Protection — Ksh. 5,500,000 for the purchase of an institutional vehicle to ensure the safety of children and GBV survivors.
- Educational Advancement — Ksh. 3,000,000 for High school, college, and university fees for the learners.
- Essential Welfare & Healthcare — Ksh. 4,800,000 covering food requirements (Ksh 2.5M), non-food essentials (Ksh 1.5M), and medical expenses (Ksh 800K).
- Infrastructure & Sustainability — Ksh. 3,500,000 for borehole rehabilitation and solar equipping (Ksh 2.7M) and building/fence maintenance (Ksh 800K).
- Operational Support — Ksh. 3,500,000 for staff allowances, administration and utilities.
